报告内容：In this presentation, an overview of the Engineering Research Program at the Prairie Swine Centre will be provided, including the overall research objectives of the program as well as the various themes of research projects including optimization of physical and thermal environment in pig production, improvement of barn air quality and mitigation of hazards, and reduction of impact of pig production on the environment. Highlights of selected recently-completed and on-going research projects such as the development of an operant mechanism to determine the temperature requirements of group-housed sows, and the application of nanotechnology to control emissions and spread of diseases in swine barns, will be presented.
