On behalf of the Key Laboratory of Bionics Engineering of Ministry of Education of Jilin University, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all sectors of society and communities who have long cared for and supported the development of the laboratory!
The Key Laboratory of Bionics Engineering of Ministry of Education was founded in 2000. It is the first key laboratory of the Ministry of Education in the field of bionics engineering in our country. After the excellent work of Academician Chen Bingcong and Academician Ren Luquan, it has been built into a bionic science and application innovation platform, bionic high-level talent cultivation base and bionic academic exchange center, which has international influence and is widely recognized at home and abroad.
For more than ten years, the laboratory has been guided by the major strategic needs of national and social development, targeting international and domestic cutting-edge science and technology, and it has formed a construction goal for constructing the first-class team of “adhering to the interdisciplinary research, targeting on the international frontier and facing the national and social needs” in the fields of geology, energy, medicine, aerospace, military, and emerging interdisciplinary research. Besides, it has created an operating mechanism with “openness, communication, sharing, and competition”, and a bionic foundation and applied research characterized with major national equipment technologies and deep space exploration technologies.
The laboratory warmly welcomes outstanding teachers, students and scholars at home and abroad to come to the laboratory for studying, inspecting, exchanging and cooperating. We hope we can work together on the journey of building a world’s top laboratory and move forward step by step toward our ideals and goals.
