Topic 2: Oil spill clean-up of inland waters using textiles based upon the example Mobulid Ray

Introduction of two recent innovations of the Institute of Textile Technology and Process Engineering Denkendorf, in the range of Bionic Engineering. Both topics are important today, because the research projects deal with current problems like water supply in dry regions and oil spill clean-up of inland waters. These recently developed textile materials, designed after nature show several fascinating properties.
